This policy explains what information the Institute for Sex & Occupational Therapy (ISOT), operated by KME Consulting LLC, collects when you use our website and courses, how we use it, and your choices. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect

• Account details: name, email, password (encrypted), and the name you want on your certificate. Stored in Thinkific.

• Course activity: lessons completed, quiz and assessment results, assignment uploads, and completion dates. Stored in Thinkific.

• Live session records: attendance, and the name and email used to join. Stored in Zoom and Thinkific.

• Payment details: billing name and address. Card details are handled by the payment processor, not ISOT. Stored in Thinkific and Stripe.

• Email list: name, email, and which emails you open or click. Stored in Flodesk.

• Website use: pages visited, device and browser, and cookies. Stored in Squarespace and Thinkific.

• Messages: anything you send us by email, contact form, or Instagram. Stored in email, Squarespace, and Instagram.

2. How we use it

•      To create your account, enroll you, and give you access to courses

•      To track progress, grade assessments, approve assignments, and issue certificates

•      To keep CE completion records and report them to American Occupational Therapy Association Approved Provider Program when required

•      To process payments and refunds

•      To send course updates, reminders, and, if you opt in, news about future courses and events

•      To answer your questions and provide support

•      To improve our courses and website

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with:

•      Service providers that run our courses and business: Thinkific, Zoom, Squarespace, Flodesk, Stripe and Zapier. They may use it only to provide their services to us.

•      CE approvers and licensing boards, when needed to verify your completion or respond to an audit.

•      Presenters and faculty, limited to what they need to review your assignments or presentations.

•      Legal authorities, if required by law.

Other learners may see your name and anything you share during live Zoom sessions or presentations.

4. Marketing emails

Course enrollees are added to our email list; you can unsubscribe at any time. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You will still receive emails needed to deliver your course, such as login and enrollment notices.

5. How long we keep it

•      Course completion and CE records: 7 years, as required for CE documentation.

•      Account information: for as long as your account is active, then 7 years.

•      Payment records: as required for tax and accounting purposes.

•      Email list information: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

6. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

•      See the personal information we hold about you

•      Correct information that is wrong, such as the name on your certificate

•      Delete your information, except records we must keep for CE documentation, tax, or legal reasons

•      Stop sending you marketing emails

7. Cookies

Our website and course platform use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your settings, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.

8. Security

We use reputable platforms with standard security measures, including encrypted connections. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.

9. Patient information

Do not submit identifiable patient or client information in assignments, uploads, discussions, or live sessions. ISOT courses are not designed to store protected health information.

10. Children

Our courses are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date will show when changes were made.
